Tai Pee Sim Monastery

Tai Pee Sim (大悲心) Monastery located at Kampar Road, opposite to Perak Girl School, is usually known as Ne Zha (哪吒) Temple by the locals. It is not as famous as other old temples & cave temples in the city, therefore the monastery is seldom crowded. The temple displays Chinese traditional architecture with slightly mix with modern building style. Anyway, it is still a unique piece in the city.

This is the rear view of the monastery, which is equally neat, tidy & good looking as the front building. I can also feel the peacefulness even I am not in the compound.

Hi Chun Kee,

I liked this charming temple too,eventhough I have not enter it before. Very soothing to the eyes and the mind.

Ipoh, the capital city of Perak State, Malaysia, is the city that tin built. Located at the famous tin mining area, Kinta Valley, it used to be the world's largest tin mine since 19th century. The rapid growing town later upgraded to be the capital of Perak during the Japanese occupation at World War II. The rich tin resource had brought prosperity to many Ipoh miners that even make it once known as the City of Millionaires. Today, Ipoh has grown to cover a large area including the neighboring township such as Bercham, Tasek, Jelapang, Menglembu, Pengkalan, Simpang Pulai & Chemor. The city is still developing continuously while maintains its beauty of nature and harmony.
