Tallest Three

I have not been visiting these "tallest three" of Ipoh for some time. During my last trip here it was still under construction. However, the appearance of completed The Haven somehow quite disappointing to me. It doesn't look as classy as I imagine, though the interior may be much more better. Anyway, it will hold the crown as tallest building in Ipoh as long as there is no other high rise above 26 storeys being constructed. Even the undergoing projects, such as The Majestic, The Octagon & D'Festivo Residence cannot compete The Haven.

Today's View on The Haven

Looking at the progress of The Haven Lakeside Residences, two of the three blocks are now visible from distance. One of it has reached the top & work of installing water reservoir. As compare to April last year, it seems the 26-storey building is done within a year & now it should be the tallest structure in Ipoh, although it's at the outskirt of city. The location of condominium is surrounded by lime stone hills. It can only be seen from certain directions but not from the city center. Therefore, we have no chance to compare its height to other Ipoh high rise buildings.

The Haven Lakeside Residences

Luxury, refreshing & beautiful is to describe The Haven Lakeside Residences. A latest luxury condominium in Ipoh surrounded by beautiful limestone hills & natural lake is under construction. The project consists of three 26-storey condominium blocks, which will be highest building in Perak. My visit to the show units was interesting and I believe it is dream house for many people. Anyway, being one of the highest value properties in Ipoh, those affordable would be very limited.

Living Next to the Giant Rock

When the city urbanization extended towards east, more and more houses are built close to limestone hills. Some development projects, such as Sunway City & The Haven Condominiums, even make use of the undeveloped hill surrounding as an advantage to promote the green & natural environment for quality living. Those projects are just not far from hear, the well known Bandar Baru Tambun (Tambun New Town).

Temple on the Hill

Cave temple is a very unique scene of Ipoh. The city is surrounded by many lime stone hills & caves in these hills are isolated from the crowd that provide peaceful environment for temples. Apart from the few famous cave temples, there are also many others in smaller scale. This one is located at Tambun. One can easily see the temple on hill right in front of the sight after completely passing through the theme park Lost World of Tambun (Sunway City). The temple is called Dong Hua Cave. I did not climb up to this temple but I think it should be fun & amazing to view the surrounding from higher spot.
