Looking out from De Garden multi-storey car park top floor, the skyline of Ipoh city center changes significantly resulting from the completion of several high rise projects. It seems there are more buildings rose on left part of first photo as compare to the scene captured in 2013. The view continues to change but will not be impressive.

Kinta City New Look
It seems the major renovation of Kinta City is coming to the final stage. The painting work of the facade is almost finished, which seen with very different look from its previous appearance that maintained for 19 years. Probably this is the right time for Kinta City to put on new dress for celebrating its 20th anniversary. By the way, I find the random lines painted on the mall surface also seen on Aeon Klebang. Could this be a designated pattern of Aeon Malls in Ipoh?

The Heat Wave is Going to End
It is constantly raining during late afternoon everyday. Although not heavy enough to cure the warm atmosphere, it prevents the heat from accumulating day-to-day. Since the begin of rainy days, I believe this heat wave, probably the worst in the history of Malaysia, will be over soon.

Rising of Medan Ipoh
Medan Ipoh or Ipoh Garden East has been one of the most happening spots in Ipoh. There are restaurants, pubs, hawker centre, amusement centre & shopping complexes at the vicinity. All these used to be developed in low rise shophouses and land has become limited nowadays. Since the first high rise MH Hotel completed, it seems future projects are focusing in growing vertically. While D'Festivo Condominium still progressing aggressively, few more taller towers will rise adjacent to MH Hotel which will reach to a new height limit in Ipoh to have 30 floors. And yet there are several high rise proposals in the pipeline. Probably in 3 years, this Ipoh's northern gateway will display a new metropolitan skyline.

Gear Up at D'Festivo
The condominium of D'Festivo Residences at Ipoh Garden East will be another obvious landmark after MH Hotel at the North-South Expressway exit. The 22-storey building that located right beside the expressway has just begun constructing its tower block not too long ago but the progress seems promising. Despite the raining season, night work would have extended its building capacity and certainly helps in speeding the grow.

Progressing D'Festivo Condo
Since the commencement of construction of D'Festivo Condominium, it is progressing quite rapidly. Tower crane at the site marks the location of this future landmark at North Ipoh exit of North-South Expressway. Upon completion, this will be one of the tallest building in Ipoh. There are several other projects in the pipe line which hit the height of more than 20 storey but still yet to see physical work carried out. If those are successful projects, Medan Ipoh (Ipoh Garden East) will display a completely new skyline that could compete Ipoh downtown.

And in this post of 1000th, another beautiful painting in the sky is posted. Although the blog seemed to move a little slow due to my busy working life, but I will continue to share beautiful images of Ipoh as reciprocation to those who love to read this blog. Thank you for your support all the while :)

Natural Colouring Show at Medan Ipoh
This is dinner time where the sky starts to display colouring show. While the billboards begin to light on with variety of colours, I still find colours from the nature to be amazing and charming. I have witnessed the sky changes from blue to yellow, then orange, then purple-orange and finally the show ended in darkness.

The Night Begins in Medan Ipoh
When the day is getting darker, people start filling up the seats at Medan Ipoh's hawker street, and also cafes and restaurants nearby. Some would later move to pub or bistro for few glasses of drink. It is undoubtedly Medan Ipoh is now a better place for night life than Ipoh downtown because shopping centre, hypermarket, restaurant, pub and hotel are so concentrated in this area while parking is more convenience here.

Ipoh Garden East is Changing
There are one after another development projects kicking off at Ipoh Garden East commercial district. After the launch of MH Hotel, Festival Walk shopping arcade and few blocks of shop lot, a luxury high rise residence project, Birchwood Residence, has just commenced its ground work. It is going to be twin condominium towers standing right beside the North-South Expressway. Adjacent to it is another condominium project, D'Festivo. When both projects completed in 2 to 3 years time, the skyline of Ipoh Garden East will be completely changed and it will be impressive as seen from the expressway.

The Red Wave is Back
Soon after Christmas & New Year, shopping malls, hotels & shops begin to change its decoration theme color to red, because Chinese New Year is just about a month from now. Red lantern is certainly a must in all CNY decoration & plum blossom would further embellish the environment. Kinta City is ready to welcome the year of snake with a red wave at the center court. Time for festive shopping begins.

Festival Walk @ Ipoh Garden East
The grow at Ipoh Garden East seems to be continuously promising in recent years. Apart from more double storey shop lots being introduced, several projects of high rise condominium are kicked off. And this is a latest shopping arcade that opened to public recently, the Festival Walk. Although the architecture of the building had been changed, or downgraded, Festival Walk turns out to be potentially another hot spot that gathered with restaurant, boutique & lounge. Nevertheless, the main corridor at middle of the arcade is still seen empty & quiet even during this Christmas day. Anyway, I am optimistic about its future because the commercial value of this area is maintain at up trend.

Best Thing To Do in the Warm Weekend
The subject of this post simply explains this photo appropriately. Weather in Ipoh for recent weeks is torturing; warm & humid while burning sunlight is baking everything on Earth int he afternoon. As seen in this photo, it's cloudless at the sky except some floating above the mountain range. Peoples are rushing into shopping centers to escape from the warm weather. And therefore you are seeing the car park of Kinta City Shopping Centre is full.

Colorful Signage
The commercial park at Ipoh Garden East is rapidly growing in recent years. Colorful signage is increasing along Tasek Road, including the newly renovated McDonald's & Sky Lounce of MH Hotel. Another mid-range shopping arcade, Festival Mall is almost set for opening soon. And it is said to have one more hotel to be constructed in this area. When looking cross the expressway, 2 huge neon lighted Giant Hypermarket logos capture driver's attention. Ipoh Garden East will become more colorful in near future.

Funfair Nowadays
Funfair used to be very popular amusement center in Malaysia back in 1970's-80's. It's normally a mobile contingent that stays at one place for few weeks and then move to another location. The most iconic item must be the Ferris wheel which stands as tallest structure & decorated with colorful bulbs. And it was one of my favorites because this is the only chance I can view the surrounding at a higher spot. Other attractive features including merry-go-round (carousel), bumper car & pitching game stalls. However, children in modern days are more addicted in video game & other electronic amusement stuffs. Funfair like this attracts lesser and lesser visitor nowadays. I still remember the old days funfair practiced paid entry but now it's free & yet there it is not attracting big crowd.
